Nice to meet you
WE BELIEVE IN THE IDEA OF SURROUNDING OURSELVES WITH PIECES THAT WE TREASURE. TO CHOOSE FOR LESS & BETTER THINGS, FOR US TO CREATE A JOYFUL LIFE ON A HEALTHY PLANET.
With our mindset on “slow” as the only sustainable choice for the future of fashion, we aim to create knitted accessories for women who have moved beyond fashion trends; inspiring and timeless pieces to celebrate their own personal style and enliven their outfits.

Of different moods
Vibrant colours, beautiful materials and endless possibilities; knitting is a dream process of creation. Our every piece begins with a single thread on a hand-guided knitting loom. Creating knit samples is like an intuitive play with texture, colour and form. The most inspiring knit samples we turn into something wearable. So each design is timeless and has a personality of its own.

Natural merino wool
We do not want more micro-plastics in our waters. And that’s why we’re committed to wearing and promoting natural fibres. Our favourite is merino wool. Remember the unpleasant prickly sensations from wearing wool? No such problem with merino. For our knitwear, we use extra-fine merino wool spun and dyed in Italy in environmentally and sociably responsible way. This top-quality wool is divinely soft, highly comfortable and long-lasting. Our woollen knits will keep you feeling warm and cosy for many seasons to come.

Artfully crafted
Each new design begins with a single thread on the knitting loom in our atelier in The Netherlands. The knits are then developed and knitted with commercial knitting machines and finished with care in our atelier. We work closely with a local family owned knitting mill in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

About us
Špela Tabak, a Slovenian-born knitwear designer is the creative force behind Mimoods. Her family used to run a small knitwear production business founded by her grandmother in the 1950’s. This has greatly influenced Špela’s decision to pursue her own path to explore the knitted fabric. Andreas Tabak, a Dutch graphic designer is her right-hand man in running the business.
